This is a wonderful library! They offer awesome community events in the interest of the entire family and every age group. One thing that is particularly awesome about this library is the services and help they offer teachers. They offer a teacher library card (with different due dates), as well as, support to teachers and their students, if a teacher is teaching a particular unit. The Alameda Free Library will even gather the books and have them ready for pick-up to support one's content instruction! Unmatched service for teachers anywhere!
I think the opening time could be earlier and closing time could be extended but they have a good selection of books and free wifi so if you ignore all the homeless people it's not that bad
A great relaxation spot to read books, do some work, entertain your kids, this is a great option to getting some time out of your way and the book collection is great for a small town.
Rich collection of books, CD, DVD etc. Quiet, nice and clean environment. Love it. With books in other languages, make it turely international and global friendly library.
Horrible hours. I wrote a review for this place before and I guess it was deleted.The hours here are the worst hours ever. They don't make any sense what so ever. Not opening till 10 am or 12 pm, then closing at 5:00 PM? Weird hours for two week days Monday and Tuesday. Weirder hours at some other days, only opening at 12:00 PM? Nuts!People are standing around waiting for this stupid place to open for 45 minutes sometimes.How is anyone supposed to learn anything? How are the future librarians supposed to learn how to make it so libraries open at normal times?
