The staff was great, we are coming back every time we visit. We appreciate the view and the pool and they accommodated our needs. The best inn me and my girlfriend stayed at. Thumbs up
Property needs much remodeling. It was built as a Travel Lodge years ago, but only upgraded once or twice. We had coffee in the room but no coffee maker. The WiFi did not work and bathroom wall was water damaged. This place is not worth the price.
Here is a list of things that went wrong with this hotel.1. Switched rooms for no reason possibly racially inspired. They recommended other hotels immediately upon my arrival2. Gave me no key. They had to walk me to the room3. The TV in the room would not work4. There was no iron box in the room5. The room was generally in very poor taste6. Customer service was generally very poor. The girl at the counter obviously was not interested in providing any serviceI believe I overpaid for what I got.
Great value and peaceful location. It's an older building that has been partially updated but there are some rough spots. That said, you won't find a better price for a place that has a great view, easy parking, nice pool and friendly staff. I had a balcony room which I recommend, view is of the Oakland yacht club Marina with distant colliseum and highway but no noise except the occasional passing airplane. Alameda is definitely an up and coming area with a lot already going for it.
Best value in the east bay! Wonderful old school hotel,nice rooms heated pool and just across the estuary from downtown Oakland. Defy anyone to find better for less! I shall return!
