Really cool place, the bank vault doors are cool. My deep dish pizza was great! Bathrooms are cool. Only reason it isn't 5 starts or bartender forgot our appetizer..... Happens. We recommend this place the atmosphere is relaxing and drink selection spot on.
The Star on Park was our first stop after flying in to OAK, before heading in the city, to avoid some of the rush hour traffic. My friend had been there a few times and knows the hostess. We got promptly seated on their patio.Ambiance:It's an old bank building and it is so cool. There are vault doors and other memorabilia left from the days of the hustle and bustle of a bank building. Food & Drinks:We ordered to share, the baked chicken wings, Italian Combo pizza and the green goddess salad. The wings are incredibly flavorful. I am a huge fan of ranch, but barely used any, because the flavor of the wings was just that good. (Tip, I did use it to dip the pizza crust a lil tho. YUM!) The pizza was also good. I am a big fan of cornmeal crust.Wash it all down with a spicy margarita and you have yourself a nice, chill lunch. Service:It wasn't super busy, since we got there a lil after lunch but before dinner. Service was excellent.
Food was decent, great staff. Went for a company event. Food was served buffet style so that may have been the reason for the mediocre food. Wasn't bad just not great. Staff was fantastic tho, the place itself is really nice.
Great place I have been there perhaps 12 times. The pizza is great the only problem they have raised their prices three times since opening. Beautiful decor.
The spicy wing were great! They were served nice and hot. The pizza was a personal deep pan pepperoni., well I have one pepperoni slice and a ton of the sauce and the pizza was not hot. The waitress was slow. Plus she forgot one of the drinks we ordered. My friend had to literally get up and track down the waitress to get the drink. Not cool. The restaurant was originally a bank and seeing the volt was very impressive. I liked the bathroom too, it was clean.
