We went intending to have dim sum, but dim sum is only served during the day until 3 pm. Dinner was still quite good. We ordered Szechuan style chicken, the Chinese cabbage with black mushrooms and braised tofu, spinach and garlic (which I don't recommend as it was bland), and mixed vegetables. All the other dishes were quite good and they have a good number of options for vegetarians. They also allow separate checks. Large sized restaurant. They were easily able to accommodate 5 of us on a Thursday evening.
My favorite place to get Dim Sum in the East Bay. The best way to beat the weekend crowds is to show up 10 minutes before they open at 10am. Parking is easy at that time in the lot behind the restaurant. If you do not see what you want on the carts, just all one of the waiters with an ear piece and they'll put in an order that will be delivered directly to the table.You are also always allowed to order of the menu at any time.
Great food! Very popular for dim sum. Lines are long and if you don't come hungry for dim sum, you'll be hungry be the time you get to the front. If you come for dinner service, get the smoked black cod! It melts in your mouth. I also had my wedding here.
This has become my East Bay dim sum go to. Not always consistent in quality though - sometimes rice noodles come out thicker than usual or the taste of dishes is a bit different. But have always found delicious dishes each time.
Was good, not too crowded, but it was later on a Friday lunch. Some dim sum going around, but the majority you order so it's freshly made. Everything we had was good and the price wasn't outrageous.
